This webinar will explore the legal and constitutional foundations of birthright citizenship in the United States, alongside current challenges and ongoing litigation. Beginning with a brief overview of recent developments, the session will then feature a discussion with a legal scholar on the historical context, key court precedents, and broader implications of restricting birthright citizenship. The webinar will conclude with an opportunity for audience questions.
Annual membership dues are included. Purchase tickets by 5 pm on Monday, April 13 to secure the early bird rate. Prices increase by $10 after April 14th and at the door.
This year’s theme, “Unite for Action,” calls into the light the domestic and foreign attacks on all working people, stripping us of our human rights and to make the wealthy few who are rigging everything against working people even richer. Our theme calls on all of us to rise up together in this unprecedented time of crisis. We must Unite for Action, dig deep, hold each other in care and rage, and build connections to create safety for each other. Join our Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities as we come together to advance a democratic movement for social justice and protect our communities and our democracy for future generations.
