2025 Board Members 

Executive Officers

Douglas Chin – Co-President

Douglas Chin Chinese American. Being a retired professional, he dedicates his time to promoting local Asian American history and advocating for community issues. As a co-president, Douglas works to fundraise for OCS-GS and completes administrative tasks.

 

 

Dylan Hartano — Co-President

Dylan Hartono is the son of Chinese Indonesian parents and grew up in Lynnwood, Washington. He graduated from UW in 2022 and now works as an engineer at Microsoft.  After successfully interning for OCA-GS in 2021, Dylan joined the OCA-GS Board then became Co-Treasurer (with Willon Lew) in 2023.  Dylan helped organize several OCA-GS events including the Bruce Lee Ascending! Debut at the UW Odegaard Undergraduate Library and the KingDOOM comic novella premiere. 

Bruce Huang – Vice President

Bruce Huang is a first generation Chinese American. He has a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington. During the day, Bruce is a Information Technology professional. He is a life-long community volunteer since childhood with ventures with IDEC, Kiwanis club, ASUW ASC, UW CSA, and the King County Library. Bruce is a former president of the OCA Greater Seattle board. On the OCA board as the CEOC member representative to the Chinese speaking community, Bruce hopes to ensure materials and information will continue to be available in Chinese and other qualified minority languages.

Alyssa Au — Secretary

Alyssa Au grew up in South Seattle and Kent and is Chinese Vietnamese American. She earned a J.D. at University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. in in American Ethnic Studies and Political Science at University of Washington. Alyssa is currently the Assistant Attorney General for the Wing Luke Civil Rights Division at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. She first joined OCA-GS as an intern in 2012 and joined the board in 2016. In her free time, Alyssa loves cat-napping with her cats: Tina and Luna. 

Amy Chen Lozano – Treasurer

Amy Chen Lozano is a first-generation immigrant from Guangzhou, China, and a dedicated community advocate for the CID. She has a long history of volunteer work, including leadership roles with the Seattle Chinese Community Girls Drill Team and the Chong Wa Benevolent Association.  Amy is passionate about advocating for non-English speaking senior residents and enjoys cooking and spending time with her children.

 

Board of Directors

Bernadette Connor

Bernadette Connor works in contracts and procurement with the Washington State government. She is a member of OCA-Greater Seattle, where she serves on the board and contributes her expertise in legal and financial matters to the organization.

Harman Hans

Harman Hans is the Assistant Manager at 3D Enterprises and an active participant in community events, including with AES and CID Cares. As a member of OCA-Greater Seattle, he contributes to the Golden Circle and volunteers at the OCA National Convention. Harman is also a proud left-handed individual.

Theressa Irigon-Rachetto

Theressa Irigon-Rachetto worked as a DEI professional for Seattle corporations. With her background in DEI work, she is committed to fostering inclusivity in the workplace and beyond. She was a student of Connie So’s at the University of Washington, double majoring in American Ethnic Studies and Communications. Theressa is passionate about giving back to her Filipino and Chinese heritage through community involvement, wanting to give a voice to and advocate for equality.

Willon Lew

Willon (Will) Lew is a second generation Chinese American born and raised in Seattle.  Will is a retired international HR executive (Senior Director, McDonald’s Corporation) formerly based out of Tokyo, Japan supporting a Japanese business market. Upon returning to the United States he was asked to consult for non-profit organizations and small businesses; he does this under the name Seattle Human Edge. Will joined the OCA Greater Seattle board in 2014. In his free time, Will is writing his family legacy, traveling, and providing support and care for his family which includes four grandchildren.

Kendall Kosai 

Kendall Kosai is a 4th generation Japanese American born and raised in Puget Sound. He received a BA in Political Science and a Minor in Japanese Language at the University of Washington. Kendall was on the OCA National staff from 2012 to 2019 and was the former deputy director. Kendall is currently Associate Regional Director at Anti-Defamation League Pacific Northwest, a leading anti-hate organization advocating for justice and fair treatment of all, creating anti-bias leaders, and strengthening community response to hate. He is also the current vice president of White River Buddhist Temple. Kendall joined the OCA Greater Seattle board in 2019. 

Travis Quezon

Connie So

Connie So is an immigrant from Kowloon, Hong Kong and is of Chinese (Cantonese) ancestry. Since 1992, she has taught at the University of Washington’s American Ethnic Studies department and is a Professor of Teaching. Connie has been with OCA-GS since 1997, and has previously served as president and vice president. Connie enjoys working with students and helping them get involved with Seattle’s APIA community. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and watching Chinese and Korean dramas.

Terry Yaplee

Terry Yaplee grew up in South Seattle and is of Chinese (Cantonese) ancestry. Now retired, his career spanned a variety of roles including Fabrication Supervisor and Lean Practitioner at Boeing Co to a Driver at Keiro Northwest. Terry dedicates his time to advocating for our community and staying involved with OCA, always ready to help out wherever needed.

John Yasutake

John Yasutake Principal Consultant at Management Support Consultants, specializing in community outreach, political action, and civil rights advocacy.  He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Sociology, minoring in Political Science. He is married with six adult children and four grandchildren and a native of Seattle with four-plus decades of community service volunteering in numerous organizations including coaching high school and youth basketball, softball, and track.
