2023 Edwin M. Lee Memorial Golf Tournament

The 2023 Edwin M. Lee Memorial Golf Tournament took place on September 23, 2023 at Auburn Golf Course.  Friends and family members in collaboration with OCA-Greater Seattle serving as the fiscal agent presented this third annual event to further the legacy of Seattle native-born Edwin M. Lee, the first Asian American Mayor of San Francisco 2011-2017.

Ed was an avid golfer and strong friend and supporter of public golf courses and programs the public could readily access. His passion for golf was met with his passion for community service by organizing, sponsoring and participating in charitable golf tournaments throughout his adult life.

Proceeds generated from the tournament benefit the Edwin M. Lee Memorial Foundation Fund @ the Seattle Foundation.  The fund provides scholarships to Franklin High School graduating seniors who are in need of financial support to further their post-high school education and supports local area non-profits that align with Ed’s legacy and commitment to social causes.

OCA Greater Seattle president and UW professor Connie So was recognized with the Outstanding Public Service Award as part of the 53rd annual University of Washington Awards of Excellence on June 8, 2023.
